Bachelor’s Degree Programs – Admissions Overview

All CTU applicants must complete an admissions interview with an Admissions Advisor and submit a completed application; however, no SAT or other standardized test is required for acceptance into CTU’s traditional or online BS programs. Proof of high school graduation (i.e., high school diploma and transcripts) or high school equivalency (i.e., GED) must be provided before the first day of the second quarter or term in the program of study, and CTU must review and confirm the documentation before admission is considered official. Business & Management

Bachelor of Science in Accounting

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Accounting program is designed to provide foundational knowledge and skills that can help you pursue accounting-related career paths and covers topics such as corporate accounting, taxation, governmental and not-for-profit accounting, and auditing. Whether taken as part of a traditional, hybrid, or online bachelor’s degree program, the accounting curriculum is designed in alignment with the educational standards of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and it integrates the competencies and body of knowledge covered in the Certified Managerial Accounting (CMA) exam.

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration

Our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program offers 11 concentrations and a general track so that you can better tailor your studies to your interests. In this accredited BSBA program, you’ll have the opportunity to develop business skills and expand your knowledge of core business disciplines to help you prepare to pursue entry-level business roles after graduation. Core courses include Research Design Methods and Applications, Global Managerial Economics, Managing Organizational Change, International Business Practice, and The Legal and Ethical Environment of Business, among others, and electives vary depending upon the concentration chosen.

Bachelor of Science in Management

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Management program is designed to help students develop their leadership abilities and group management skills by examining the ways in which a team’s performance and collaboration impacts organizations and how teamwork can lead to improved productivity and outcomes. Students can opt for the general track or choose a concentration in food service management (available as an online bachelor’s only). Core courses cover a wide range of topics, including small business management and entrepreneurship, international business, human resources management, and operations management, in addition to others. Those interested in management studies may also want to explore themanagement concentration offered by our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program.

Bachelor of Science in Psychology

In CTU’s fully online Bachelor of Science in Psychology program, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about and apply psychological concepts and theories in business and in life. Core courses in this online bachelor’s degree program cover a diverse range of topics, such as group dynamics, the biological foundations of behavior and theories of personality, issues of health and well-being, and an introduction to research methods in social science, to name just a handful. Students have the option to choose from two concentrations—consumer behavior and organizational behavior—or a general track.

Engineering & Computer Science

Our programs at CTU offer comprehensive training in key areas of engineering and computer science. The Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is designed to help students prepare to pursue entry-level positions, covering computer hardware design, software development, microprocessor programming, and network design. It is offered only at our Colorado Springs campus. For those interested in computer science, the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program delves into programming languages, computer architecture, circuit analysis, product design, networking, and software engineering. Both programs foster technical proficiency, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for lifelong learning and professional growth. Additionally, the Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering is designed to help students prepare for the dynamic field of electrical engineering, offering courses in Circuit Analysis, Embedded Microcontrollers, CMOS Design, Signals and Systems, Electronic Design, Electromagnetics, and Solid-State Physics.

Healthcare

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management program is designed to help students develop skills in finance, community relations, and human resources management that are relevant to working in the healthcare field. This program is offered as a general track or as an online bachelor’s degree program with a concentration in health informatics. Core courses include coverage of statistics and research, fiscal management, and global health systems, among others, with choice of electives depending upon whether the general track or concentration in informatics is chosen.

Information Technology

As a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology student at CTU, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a strong technical background as well as analytical and “soft” skills that can be applied to various career paths within the field of IT and the high-tech industry. Our BSIT program covers critical IT topics, including programming, systems administration, security, architecture, databases, and ethics. A concentration in software systems engineering is offered as a fully online bachelor’s degree program only. The general track and concentrations in network management and security are available in on-campus, hybrid, and fully online attendance options.

Nursing

CTU’s online Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is designed by nurses, for nurses5. In this accredited online bachelor’s degree program,6 students have the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and know-how needed to expand their practice options and manage change in an increasingly complex care environment. Our BSN program may even be completed in less time than you may think.7

Project Management

CTU’s Bachelor of Science in Project Management program utilizes a practical approach centered on key knowledge areas as defined by the Project Management Institute (PMI) in the PMBOK® Guide, the industry standard for project management. Students in this online bachelor’s program can explore how to employ the tools, principles, and techniques of continuous process improvement, understand the effect of leadership upon project team and stakeholder engagement, and analyze project scopes to achieve client expectations.

Security Studies

Criminal justice programs are about more than solving crimes; in fact, earning a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice may open-up a wide array of career paths to pursue. The Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice program at CTU is offered in two concentrations—forensic investigation (on-campus bachelor’s only) and human services. There is a general track as well.
